  • Medical Syringe Closeup

    Deposit: $150

    6 weeks

    $800 tuition

    Classes: Clinicals held in person

    This program prepares students to be professional Phlebotomy Technicians dedicated to the art of blood withdrawal. During the course, you will be shown:

    • How to draw blood, known as a “stick”

    • Practice your “sticking” skills in the classroom on staff, fellow students by practicing on arms so that you are prepared and confident

     

    When you complete the course, you will be equipped to:

    • Prepare the patient

    • Perform venipuncture

    • Assist in maintaining the quality of the specimen

    This course will also prepare students to take the National Certification Exam for Certified Phlebotomy Technician.

  • Sanitizing Door Handle

    Non-refundable Deposit: $150

    10-12 weeks

    $2000 tuition

    Classes: Clinicals held in person, location TBA)

    Students will learn the following skills:

    • Medical terminology

    • The role of the Medical Assistant or M.A.

    • Knowledge of the MA’s legal responsibilities

    • How to distinguish the staff vs. physicians liabilities

    • How to prevent liability

    • Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the human body

    • How to use proper sanitation, disinfection and sterilization procedures

    • How to sterilize and maintain instruments, wrap articles for autoclave, chemically disinfect articles, safely handle contaminated equipment and supplies, create and maintain sterile fields for dressing and minor surgery, hand washing, prepare for minor surgical procedures, remove sutures, and dispose of contaminated materials (includes 30 hours of laboratory)

    Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to define healthcare professionals and healthcare settings and know the MA’s “scope of practice”.  

    Also, the student will be introduced to and understand important highlights of medical history.

    This program prepares students to be professional Patient Care Technicians dedicated to the art of caring in depth for patients. During the course, you will be shown:

    • basic nursing assistant skills

     

    When you complete the course, you will be equipped to:

    • record vital signs

    • effectively care for patients

    This course will also prepare students to receive the Patient Care Certificate.

  • Doctor

    Classes: Clinical experience conducted in person

    This program prepares students to become professional Medical Billing & Coding Specialists with a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and reimbursement processes. During the course, you will be shown:

    • medical terminology and healthcare documentation

    • insurance billing procedures and coding systems

    When you complete the course, you will be equipped to:

    • accurately assign medical codes for diagnoses and procedures

    • process insurance claims and maintain compliant patient records

    This course will also prepare students to sit for the CBCS exam administered through NHA.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant.png

    6 weeks

    $925 tuition

    This program provides a structured combination of classroom instruction (31 hours), hands-on laboratory training (28 hours), and supervised clinical experience (16 hours), totaling 75 clock hours, in alignment with Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) training requirements.

    Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the state-approved Nurse Aide Competency Examination (Prometric).

  • Paramedics Assisting Patient

    This class trains students to offer basic life support During the course, you will be shown:

    • AED training


    When you complete the course, you will be equipped to:

    • provide basic life support for adults and infants

    This course will also prepare students to receive the American Heart Association card - valid for 2 years.
